We landed yesterday in the land of the long white cloud with the cloud dumping a bucket of rain from it. We picked up the elcheapo hire car ($150 - 3 days) and took off to the airbnb where the heater was on!
Day 1 saw us watching the quiz on the TV - no morning news at the place we were staying and so we stretched our brains first up! After the rain came a cold night with a slight frost and a sunny Saturday - it feels like Canberra today with a cool but sunny day.
The Macs hosted us for the day and we journeyed down south to Akaroa - a lovely little village with so many photo opportunities. We checked the place out and over lunch checked out the local free paper. The local ads are interesting with what we hope was a typo on counselling, and we did wonder how hard up the plaster was to advertise in this particular paper with the ad….
