We stayed in Canberra for days and left after a family breakfast where all the kids helped in making breakfast for all the mums in our family.

First night was a place we have stayed before (Googoolong) where power, water and hot showers are all available for a donation. Like many small towns they want you stay and check out their features.

The interesting thing with diesel prices.... Diesel was $2.38 at Nimintabel, $2.68 in Canberra, $2.37 at Murrumbateman, $2.22 at Forbes...

From our overnight stop it was turning off the main road at Tomingley heading further north, Narromine, Nevertire, Warren all followed before we headed to Quambone via a road we hadn't been. Years ago we to the viewing platform in the marshes (remember Fi?) from Quambone, and the place hasn't improved.

Continuing north we passed the occasional cemetery, the oldest grave that was readable in this one was a 5 year old boy in 1871.

This evening is still outside around the fire at 5.45 and it's a comfortable 24 degrees in the campground at Carinda (another donation one).

Til next time!
